A torn-up roofline after a storm isn't a "get to it next week" problem, and we don't treat it like one — Roof Repair Smedway answers, scopes the damage, and dispatches a crew across Chester fast.
Roof Repair Smedway grew out of Chester, NY job sites, not a corporate rollout plan — that's still how we staff every Roof Leak Repair crew we send to Chester.
Every lead technician we send to a Chester property carries current Chester, NY licensing and full insurance, and we'll produce that paperwork before you ask twice.
Every Roof Leak Repair job, from a single flashing repair to a full Chester tear-off, gets built to the same standard: the one that holds up, not the one that's fastest to invoice.
Proof of licensing before the first ladder goes up.
Someone answers, every time, day or night.
No invoice surprises once work is underway.
Crews dispatched from within Chester, NY, not another region entirely.
Catching a roof problem at the "annoying" stage is almost always cheaper than catching it at the "emergency" stage.
The earlier one of these signs gets a proper look, the smaller the repair usually stays; waiting rarely makes a roof problem cheaper to fix.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
A gap that lets light through will let rain through eventually.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
Exposed underlayment is only a temporary barrier — it's not built to handle sustained exposure.
We split our work into specific service lanes because a wind-lifted shingle and a full system replacement need completely different crews and timelines.
Read through the categories and you'll usually recognize your own roof problem in one of them — that's intentional, since we scope calls the same way we've organized this list.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
Commercial roofs run different membrane systems entirely, and our crews are trained specifically on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen.
A full tear-off strips the roof to the decking, replaces any damaged boards, and rebuilds with new underlayment and shingles to current code.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and unusual roof pitches get handled by our senior technicians specifically.
We keep this process the same whether it's a single shingle repair or a full Chester tear-off, because a predictable process is part of what makes a stressful roof problem manageable.
Call +1-844-212-9199, describe the issue, and dispatch routes it to the nearest available Chester crew.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
An itemized estimate is delivered before any work starts, covering materials, labor, and cleanup.
Once approved, the crew completes the work to manufacturer spec and cleans the site before leaving.
We could list a dozen more reasons to work with us, but these six are the ones Chester homeowners mention most often when they leave a review.
Being local means we're rarely the crew still driving in from somewhere else.
We'd rather lose a bid on an honest price than win one that grows later.
Certifications stay current so material warranties remain valid after installation.
Every job includes a written labor warranty separate from the shingle manufacturer's coverage.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
Our technicians explain their reasoning so you're deciding with full information.
A verbal promise means nothing when you actually need it, so ours is documented and handed over at project close.
If something unexpected turns up mid-job, like hidden decking damage, we flag it and get your approval before it changes your bill.
If you ever need to use the guarantee, the process is a phone call, not a fight.
We stage crews across Chester, NY so a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Chester waiting.
Routes are planned around Chester's actual streets and access points, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival windows tend to hold up.
We'd rather confirm coverage on a quick call than have a homeowner assume they're out of range and skip calling entirely.
